Embroidery: Sand stitch

Sand stitch: firm, textured, and very easy to embroider.

The sand stitch is a simple and quick technique used to fill small surfaces with texture. It is worked with short, loose stitches in different directions, creating a grainy or rough effect, similar to sand (hence its name).

Does not follow an exact pattern, so you can do it freely, without worrying too much about symmetry. It is ideal for small areas, organic shapes, or details where a perfect fill is not necessary, but something with body and presence is.

Adds volume, is easy to adapt, and is very useful if you are just starting to embroider.
